I have been a patient of Dr. Song’s for over 3 years. I first started seeing him for shoulder pain in both of my shoulders due to osteoarthritis. He told me he could give me corticosteroid injections to help me with the pain but, in time, I would need to have shoulder replacement surgery. I received the cortisone injections for several years but, in time, they stopped helping with the pain I was experiencing. I then had to decide whether to move forward with shoulder replacement surgery. After talking with Dr. Song several times about the shoulder replacement procedure, he explained to me that the surgery was not as complicated as I had envisioned. I also spoke to Ashley, Dr. Song’s PA, and she had nothing but positive things to say about the procedure which helped with my decision to go forward with the surgery. The office staff was very helpful in helping me set up my preadmission testing and the surgery date. When my surgery was over, I was immediately pain-free. After 10 weeks of physical therapy, I was able to move my arm and my shoulder as I should normally and I was pain-free. It has been just over a year since my first shoulder replacement surgery. I am doing great. I had my other shoulder replaced in January with no regrets and no more pain thanks to Dr. Song.
