I am now seven months post-surgery.  It is amazing to feel this good.  I had forgotten what it was like to live without pain.  I still forget that I can now reach for the peanut butter on the top shelf effortlessly.  My strength is still building, only weak in the rotator cuff.  I shot baskets the other day.  I played tennis, too.  Today was the first time that I could hit the heavy bag confidently, not worried about hurting my shoulder.  You do have to go slow.  Do not overdo it or you will damage.

What was exciting was that after the initial full rest, there were noticeable improvements every few days, and that continued slowly for me.  Now, I am stronger than I was last week.  My flexibility is better in the shoulder that had the surgery than in my nonsurgical shoulder.  I was lucky to have worked with a very experienced physical therapist.  He had never seen a total shoulder replacement like mine.  He said that he cannot tell by manipulating me that it isn't a normal shoulder.

Dr. Abrams is genuinely happy for my improved life.  He does not walk around like so many other surgeons that I know.  I appreciate how down-to-earth he is—always smiling.  I never felt rushed.  Dr. Abrams always gave me as much time as I needed.  As for Herb, I knew without question that I could ask Herb a question anytime.  In closing, I have gone back in time.  My shoulder has not been this good for at least 10 years.

As a physician, I appreciated the professionalism and attention to detail that Dr. Vannozzi and the staff at Princeton Hospital demonstrated, making the decision to have an elective hip replacement.  The experience from start to finish was exceptional.  I could not be more pleased with the outcome as, in a very short time, I was walking without pain.  It is truly a life redeeming procedure.  Dr. Vannozzi clearly is a superior surgeon.  I could not recommend him more highly.

First of all, I must say I chose Dr. Nazarian off the website.  That was truly the absolute best thing I could have done.  I was very careful to read all of the reviews and, believe it or not, there was only one bad thing noted, so I chose him.  I got an appointment and met him the first time and fell in love.  I had suffered for so many years with neck and back pain even after having had surgery before.  I had surgery on 09/24/2015 and the rest is history.  Actually, my whole family loved the doctor.  Thank God for sending him to me.

Dr. Abrams who has been with Princeton Orthopaedic Associates for over 30 years will serve a one-year term as the president of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.

AANA is The Arthroscopy Association of North America and is a provider organization accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). The organization exists to promote, encourage, support, and foster the development of continuing medical education activities that are free of commercial bias and designed to disseminate knowledge, competence, performance, and improve patient outcomes of those undergoing arthroscopic surgery and to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries to the musculoskeletal system.

Jeff is among the first surgeons to perform rotator cuff repairs and stabilization surgery using arthroscopy. As an inventor, he has assisted five surgical companies on equipment designs to perform minimally-invasive surgery. He is currently on the editorial staff of five orthopaedic periodicals, has written over 60 chapters in orthopaedic textbooks, and is the editor for Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair: A Practical Approach to Management, and Management of the Unstable Shoulder: Arthroscopic and Open Techniques.

I have been cared for by Dr. Ark on three separate occasions over the past 7 years:  once for a broken heel I suffered in an automobile accident, once for surgery to remove a cyst from my finger and, most recently, for surgery to remove a tiny shard of glass from my hand (this was a Workers Compensation case).  In all three cases, Dr. Ark's treatment was excellent.  In the office, he took the time to explain the situation and review my x-rays with me.  He made both surgeries seem easy all the way from scheduling through the follow up period.  I had no complications and healed up with no issues.  The amazing thing is that after both surgeries, I never needed to take any of the pain killers he prescribed.  I highly recommend Dr. Ark.

Dr. Vannozzi replaced my left hip in 10/2012 and my right hip this past 10/2015. In between, he was almost as frustrated as me with continuing left hip, back pain, and right hip pain. The right hip proved to be very deceptive. The first two MRIs did not present a need for surgery. The third MRI presented stenosis and a buildup of arthritis necessitating surgery. Dr. Vannozzi was amazed with the amount of damage to the top part of the femur. He has always been a concerned and extremely skillful surgeon. I am finally recovering completely after the second hip. I could not recommend him more.

Dr. Nazarian performed a spinal fusion on me in the Fall of 2013. This occurred between a left hip replacement in 2012 and a right hip replacement in 2015. Obviously, there was resulting back pain after each hip replacement. Dr. Nazarian couldn't have been kinder, more concerned, or patient with me. He provided excellent care starting with his surgical skills. I couldn't recommend him more.

Dr. Song came highly recommended by my sports medicine orthopaedist. I had a bad tear in my rotator cuff, a bone spur, and he found an old tear in my biceps. He took the time to explain everything to me. I was very nervous about the procedure but the people that work at the Surgery Center, to his assistant, Ashley, to the physical therapist, Rahul, made my experience a reassuring one. Every part of the procedure went down like Dr. Song told me. I was also fortunate that Dr. Song has a coordinated effort with a highly-skilled physical therapist by the name of Rahul. He knew exactly what Dr. Song wanted done and at no point did I feel that I was ever overextended past my limitations. Now, 6 months after the procedure, I forget that I ever had a problem. I have complete mobility from not being able to raise my arm [prior]. I was very fortunate to have a skilled surgeon as Dr. Song treat me. I was so thrilled with the results that I am always dropping his name when I come across people with this common problem. I would recommend Dr. Song very highly.

Clearly, had 3 snapped rotator cuff muscles caused by 2 great accidents while vacationing in Costa Rica.  Two months later, I had my first visit with Dr. Song who immediately recognized that my shoulder was dislocated and took immediate action to prevent a need for an artificial shoulder operation.  From then on, every aspect of my care was administered with consummate professionalism.  I really feel your practice is first class in every way.  Dr. Song is really on top of his game and the whole experience was amazing, given the seriousness of my injuries.  Eight months after my operation, I was back playing beach volleyball.
